Jehdeiah Dunkin is a captain of the Bethel Cheer squad. She is now a senior, and she views the Bethel cheer team as her family. “A lot of people think that we [cheerleaders] are alike,” Jehdeiah stated. “I feel like we do a lot more stuff than people think. We jump, flip all that stuff.” She manages her time by splitting it into two; separating her school/cheer life and home life. She is in the JROTC, and she works at Smokey Bones, hanging out with her family on Sundays!

Jalaysia Mahone wanted to become a Bethel cheerleader to gain a fresh start in her high school career. “I used cheer as a way to help get me back on track,” Jalaysia revealed. She has been on the team for three years, and she is now a captain. She believes that the team is her family. Outside of cheerleading she is a hair stylist (@laybeautique), and she is a member of the National Honor Society, who volunteers on the weekends. She loves to paint and draw!

Juliana Baker is a senior and a co-captain of the Bethel Cheer squad. ”As co-captain, I bring joy to the team,” Juliana said. “I try to keep everyone happy.” She wanted to become a cheerleader because of the immense influence they have on social media. She thinks that keeping a schedule is the best way to manage time as a cheerleader. While she works with her mom at her business, she is also a part of the SCA. She plays Roblox and paints in her free time.

Brooklynn Roberts is another co-captain and senior on the Bethel Cheer squad. She wanted to become a cheerleader because of their upbeat and joyful spirit. “I saw the joy that everyone had when the cheerleaders were around,” Brooklyn said. “That was something I wanted to be a part of.” She also works at Smokey Bones alongside Jehdeiah, and she thinks that having balance plays a big role in how to manage time as a cheerleader.

Malaya Golden is a senior on the Bethel Cheer squad, who has been on the team for 2 years now. She can proudly say that she loves the positive atmosphere the cheerleaders bring. She wanted to become a bethel cheerleader because of their influence and positivity on social media. “I wanted to bring joy and a positive spirit to the team,” Malaya shared. Outside of school, she likes to go to church every Sunday and spend time with her family and friends. She believes that keeping a good balance to school and cheer requires her to prioritize and stay organized.

Chaniya Timbers is a senior, who has been a part of the squad for 4 years. Her role on the team is to develop choreography and mentor new cheerleaders. “I love making cheers,” Chaniya shared. “It allows me to express my creativity.” Chaniya manages her time by taking everything one step at a time. She likes to watch movies and write outside of school and is learning how to crochet.

Coach Cee has been coaching at Bethel for 6 years. She teaches her cheerleaders time management and accountability daily. “It takes a lot of discipline and self perseverance and mental strength to be a part of her team,” Coach Cee revealed. It was always her dream to become head coach. She loves to cook, dance, and sing.
