Last week was Bethel’s homecoming week/spirit week. Bruins showed out during spirit week by following the week’s themes ending off with two dynamic pep rallies and a homecoming dance.
The most popular spirit week themes were Soccer Mom vs. BBQ Dad (new to Bethel this year) and the always beloved Throwback Thursday.
The band kicked off the pep rallies with award-winning tunes, and the emcee got the crowd hyped with a dance contest. The highlight of the rally though was when varsity cheerleaders put on an US themed performance. The ceremony concluded with the crowd chanting “Rock the Green and Gold.”
The homecoming game was against Gloucester. The varsity football team won 44-7. At the game, they also announced the winners for homecoming court at the game:
- Homecoming Queen: Kalani Berry
- Homecoming King: Victor Romain Jr.
Finally, the homecoming week concluded with the dance in the Allen Iverson Gym. The sold-out dance featured a beautiful backdrop for pictures, food, a 360 camera and an excellent DJ.
The 2023-24 year is starting off strong! Looking forward for what else is planned this school year.
