BHS Recognizes Counselors During School Counseling Week
February 8, 2019
National School Counseling Week focused on the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve academic success and plan for their future, without them, most students wouldn’t know what to do next.
“School counselors are an integral part of the faculty. They assist students and faculty with addressing issues related to social and academic needs. School Counselors work with families to help navigate college and career choices, family situations and success stories. Everyone has the heart to be a school counselor and a collective partnership – students, families, and administration – help to make it all work,” said Bethel’s school counseling coordinator Dr. Olaniyi Lucas.
Bethel High School has five counselors designated to certain students and academies to help them get ready for the next steps in their lives whether it is an incoming freshman or graduating seniors.
Students who would like to meet with their guidance counselor can make an appointment in the main office .
